Since 1893, Sheltering Arms has been a trusted resource for providing services for the elderly in the Houston area. Because of our expertise, we are able to extend our capabilities and passion for helping seniors embrace life at each and every stage. We serve seniors and their family caregivers who are able to pay for services and those who need financial assistance. Our programs and services include:

- The Dementia Care Day Center serves individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia in a carefully designed state-of-the art facility. The Day Center provides a variety of specialized recreational activities within a secure environment.
- Caregiver Support assists caregivers in building coping skills and learning techniques for self care in order to reduce the stress of caring for aging loved ones.
- Telephone Reassurance utilizes community volunteers to provide a free daily safety check call to older adults living alone or with limited social support.
- The Fitness Program is an evidence-based program led by community volunteers and focuses on maintaining balance, stamina, strength and agility of older adults.
- Home Care assist elders with activities of daily living and allows seniors and caregivers to maintain an independent lifestyle in their own home.
- Care Management supports older adults by assuring they have access to the community resources and benefits they need to remain independent.
